DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING AFTER MIDNIGHT THE NIGHT BEFORE SURGERY!!

One Week Before Surgery
Take 500 milligrams or more of vitamin C daily; take this in addition to any multi-vitamin you may be currently taking. Don’t take vitamin E.

Take no aspirin or ibuprofen products, (i.e. Bufferin, Anacin, Advil, Motrin, Datril, Anacin-free). Tylenol is okay.
Wash abdomen and pubic area with Hibiclens and water daily.

DO NOT SMOKE!

Have on Hand at Home

Fill all prescriptions given to you at your pre-op visit.
Percocet or Lortab is for your pain
Keflex is your antibiotic - take all!
Robaxin is your muscle relaxer
Small bottle of Hibiclens (or other liquid surgical soap)
Small tube of bacitracin ointment
Extra-strength Tylenol
Small bottle of magnesium citrate


2 Days Prior to Surgery

Drink the bottle of magnesium citrate after lunch, that evening have a light dinner.
Have ONLY liquids the next day.


Morning of the Surgery

Wash abdomen and pubic area with Hibiclens. Shave the top portion of your pubic area to the pubic bone.

Wear casual loose clothing; something that buttons or zips in the front (i.e. jogging suit) DO NOT WEAR JEANS. Wear socks.

DO NOT BRING JEWELRY OR VALUABLES TO THE OFFICE!! WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR MISPLACED ITEMS.

Your support person should remain with you for at least 48 hours.
